Morning sun is made with a plant texture. A plant with long stems and small flowers was ideal to bring out the lines on the canvas. You can take any type of plant or flower, bought or found in your garden. This work needs to be done in two steps, the first time to create the structure of the canvas made of the plant and the modeling paste. When the texture is dry, the second step is to paint the plant on the canvas, I chose three main colors that I lightened or darkened by diluting the paint, as needed. I went with beige, pastel green and dark brown. I left some areas unpainted to show some light on the plant. I tried to get a patina effect,  to give the impression that the painting was done a long time ago. I had already created this kind of composition with this type of plant with botanical area, with other plants and other colors. Each time, we have a different result and always harmonious and natural. Tropical Twister is a kind of cataclysm in the middle of a paradisiacal atmosphere. Lisa Steeven wanted to create this stunning contrast between storm and dreamlike islands. She brought out the exotic side with the help of pastel colors. She wants to paint with impressionnism style, because she thinks it's a style very close to the abstract, and it enhances the value fairy and imaginary effect.

Silent waterfalls symbolise calm and serenity, Lisa Steeven want to transmet peacefull values in this artwork. She's used complementary colours to create an attractive and realist composition. She tries to bring out the waterfall with abstract touch. It gives more movement and intensity to the canvas.

Wood whisppers is an harmony of shades, shapes and lines. Lisa Steeven wants to get a fairy atmosphere to glamorize somptuouness of the nature. This painting seems to like an awakening of wild with the morning rays of sun.
