Science is often seen as the clearest expression of human control over nature. Through observation and data, we have uncovered many of the laws that govern the universe. Yet for all its power, science continues to fall short when it comes to answering existential questions.
At the frontier of knowledge, scientists face a field of uncertainty. Faced with infinite possibilities, they move forward by choosing what seems most probable. This decision, though grounded in logic and experience, often feels like a leap of faith.
Imagining myself at that boundary between the known and the unknown, I began creating Illogical. In this series, I placed my scientific mindset in direct conversation with my instinct to believe. The images reflect a tension between two inner forces: one that measures, and one that trusts.
These scenes are deliberately strange. They shift between rational structure and intuitive symbolism, not to offer conclusions, but to reveal the absurdity and beauty of asking deeper questions.
I am not an artist by training or profession. These images were created as an amateur, in unplanned moments, without any formal approach. What began as a hobby slowly revealed a thread of reflection I could not ignore. The concept took shape after or during the images, seldom before.
This is not a finished project. It is a personal sketchbook, shaped by limited tools and time. If something in it speaks to you (visually, intellectually, or spiritually) I welcome others to take it further. This is a starting point, not a destination. There is space here for others to build something more mature than I could. The space between logic and faith is wide. There is room here for others.

“I AM dreaming” is an intentionally ambiguous title. It echoes the biblical name of God, "I AM who I AM," while evoking a dream state, where logic dissolves and symbols rise to the surface. The works in this series reimagine selected verses from the Old Testament, from the creation of the world to Jonah’s cry from the depths.
While the Bible has always inspired artists, its visual influence has remained largely absent in photography. Where painting and sculpture have given it reverence and form, photography has often kept its distance. It is more commonly used to question, to criticize, or to decorate religious spaces with simplified imagery.
As a Catholic, I approach these texts not to teach or to defend doctrine, but to reflect and wrestle with them. These images are not illustrations of belief. They are visual meditations, created with limited tools and fragmented time, in the hope of opening a quiet dialogue between the ancient and the contemporary, the seen and the unseen.
These images were not created as part of a formal project. Most were taken in ing, without a set plan or controlled setting. The ideas often followed the images, rather than leading them. What started as a hobby slowly grew into a personal way of thinking through things that words alone could not express.
This work is not finished. It may never be. I have done what I could with the time, tools, and understanding I had. If something in it speaks to you, take it further. Whether you are an artist, a believer, or simply curious, consider this an invitation to continue where I could not. The questions are open. The door is open.
