"Last Supper": An Allegory of Prosperity and Doom

In "Last Supper," insect-like figures sit at a table in a richly decorated room, symbolizing the abundance and prosperity of modern civilization. The interior resembles a baroque palace, where opulence and sophistication reveal a hedonistic pursuit of consumerist pleasures. This splendid, almost theatrical setting expresses a selfish desire for pleasure, contrasting with the looming global threats.

The generously set table, full of diverse dishes, shows how modern society indulges in unrestrained consumption while an inevitable catastrophe approaches. The nuclear mushroom cloud outside the window symbolizes serious dangers like nuclear wars or ecological disasters that could destroy our world in the blink of an eye. The insects embody various aspects of humanity, from instinctive survival to loss of individuality, sinking into chaos and confusion.

Their diverse shapes, gestures, and facial expressions are an allegory of different reactions to the crisis—ranging from indifference to anxiety to helplessness. Each insect figure seems to persist in this grotesque supper, unaware of the impending disaster.

In this way, "Last Supper" becomes a commentary on the state of the modern world—greedy, full of illusions of security, and oblivious to the approaching catastrophe.
