Stanisonne Art Gallery is inviting artist from all around the world, no matter their background and level of experience to explore art beyond reality and apply to participate in our new 2D and 3D virtual exhibition ‘Abstract & Surrealistic Worlds’.
Abstract and surrealistic art both have a shared philosophy that pushes the boundaries of reality, they challenge the traditional representations in art, and they have the ability to go beyond the typical limits. Diving into a deeper, often untouched realm of thought and emotion, into the subconscious mind, creating art that speaks to the hidden dimensions of the mind.
We invite artists to share their abstract and surrealistic perceptions of the world.
Abstract art is liberating the artist from accurate images of the material world and gives them the opportunity to be flexible in expressing their feelings, ideas and concepts without directly depicting things or scenarios, via the use of colours, shapes, lines and textures. This allows both the artist and the observer to explore deeper, personal and emotional interpretations.
Whereas, surrealism depicts the shared philosophy, often using realistic forms and shapes, but in a very unexpected combination, challenging the laws of reality and physics. It encourages artists to explore dreamlike worlds and question the very nature of reality itself. Surrealistic artworks dive into the subconscious and often create irrational, illogical and fantastical worlds, giving the observer a space for imagination to flourish.
