Against the background of low clouds, as if hanging over the earth, there are rocky hills, in which the strength and steadfastness of nature appears.
In the center of the picture are small Yakut horses. They are not large, but their body is powerful and strong, indicating a stern character and boundless endurance.
The painting uses bright autumn colors to create contrast with the cold blue sky and gray earth. This creates a feeling of warmth and life in this harsh region.
“Where the Heart Is” is not just a landscape, it is a story about life in the Kolyma expanses, about the harsh beauty of nature and the unshakable fortitude of people and animals living on this region.
