Born in 1999 in Benin, Aureal Eugénio Koffi Dossou is a talented visual artist who lives and works in his native country. After obtaining a degree in civil engineering in 2020, he decided to devote himself entirely to his ion for drawing, a vocation that he has seriously explored since 2018. Specializing in the use of ballpoint pen on paper, Aureal stands out for his ability to capture facial expressions and convey a rich range of emotions through the looks of his models.

Inspired by the surrealist works of Jono Dry, the depth of Beksinski's creations, the fascinating historical allusions of Julien Sinzogan, and the meticulous techniques of Andrew Tischler, Aureal develops a unique style that combines realism and symbolism. His choice of ballpoint pen as his main medium allows him to fully express his artistic vision, although he remains open to exploring other techniques to create varied atmospheres.

For Aureal, art is not just decorative, but a form of profound communication that aims to convey existential lessons and raise awareness. He sees his work as an exploration of the inner world, a partial reflection of the larger universe, and he continually strives to expand this perspective through his creations. Strongly anchored in the richness of Beninese history and culture, his art becomes a means of paying homage to its heritage while sending universal messages. Aureal Eugénio Dossou, as an artist, seeks to leave a lasting imprint that will speak not only to his contemporaries but also to future generations, using the power of drawing to explore and expand our understanding of the world and ourselves.
