Brigitte Fort a mené une vie riche et diversifiée, entre la bergère, l'enseignante, l'ingénieure de projet et la photographe d'illustration. Sa ion pour la photographie, qu’elle a cultivée dès son plus jeune âge, est devenue un véritable art de vivre. Formée à la photographie argentique en noir et blanc, elle a é 20 ans dans les laboratoires professionnels et les agences, avant d’adopter le numérique, qu'elle considère comme une véritable libération technique, la guidant vers une création artistique plus libre.
Ses œuvres s'inspirent de la lumière et du mouvement de l’eau, de la mer aux torrents de montagne, et ses photographies, proches de la peinture, explorent l’intensité de ces éléments. Brigitte Fort a exposé ses créations dans de nombreuses galeries, notamment à Paris (Hélène Greiner), Perpignan, Céret, et dans des musées du sud-ouest (Musée de Cerdagne, Musée du Canal du Midi), ainsi qu'aux Rencontres Photographiques d'Arles 2024.
Elle a également participé à plusieurs créations collectives de spectacles vivants, où ses photographies ont été mises en lumière dans des projets musicaux et théâtraux, comme "Ecouter-Voir" ou "L’Esprit de l’Eau". Ces expériences lui ont permis de toucher un large public, sensible à la poésie unique de ses images.
Ses reportages, notamment sur la Route de Fer dans le Massif du Canigou, sont conservés aux Archives de Perpignan, et une série de ses photographies sur les sources du Canal du Midi, réalisées lors d’une résidence, a été acquise par la Région Occitanie pour enrichir le fonds d’œuvres d’art du Réservoir.
Après avoir vécu en Provence, dans les Pyrénées-Orientales et la Drôme, Brigitte Fort réside actuellement en Ariège, où elle continue d'explorer sa ion pour la photographie.
