Art brut imposed itself on me after many years of painting, moving from figurative to abstract. Despite much recognition for having received numerous commissions over several years, it is today unabashed art brut that I devote myself to. My discovery of the work of Paul Duhem lays the foundations of my uninhibited approach to the standard and to transgression. No stake or desire to be part of an academic movement or current trend. Simply a primary and intuitive need to construct on paper and canvas my version of themes that are dear to me, the archaic messages and symbols that we find on archaeological pieces which prove the need of man to put in his life of Art, of representation, of symbols that exceed us. The search for movement and kinetization is also an integral part of my artistic approach. We find in my drawings and paintings a work on the material in which the illustration becomes an appendix, like the poetic of an abstraction. From raw color to shades of gray, the meanders inspired by Neolithic engravings can be guessed. In the same desire that our ancestors made engravings, I try to; marks my age as a possibly inspiring trace.
