Caron the Raven II has been sculpted using air drying clay over a wire mesh and aluminium frame. He is painted with acrylic and gloss varnished. He is my second version of this comical, mystical character, the first I sculpted in polymer clay. I use no moulds or stamps in my work, so this piece is totally unique and one of a kind. My inspiration for this work comes from my illustrations in the Crach Ffinnant series of novels written by Lazarus Carpenter.
