Dmitry Shevchuk, a contemporary Ukrainian artist renowned for his mastery of ironic caricature and humorous sculptures, discovered his ion for modeling figures from plasticine during childhood. This early fascination paved the way for his artistic journey, leading him to pursue formal education at the Kyiv Art-Industrial School (now Kyiv State Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts and Design named after M. Boichuk), from which he graduated in 1991.
Following graduation, Dmitry delved into the realm of manufacturing, specializing in crafting master models, or small sculptures, for various companies in Ukraine and abroad, including Italy and the USA.
In 2010, Dmitry embarked on a new artistic endeavor with the inception of his own series titled "Satire as an Art of Life." This series comprises bronze statuettes, each standing up to 20 cm tall, crafted in the genre of ironic caricature. Handmade by the artist himself, each work is produced in limited editions of up to 10 copies.
