Inspired by the concept of a cannonball igniting a musical melody, this sculpture challenges traditional expectations and invites the viewer to stimulate their imagination.

They symbolize a profound juxtaposition between the strength and malleability of metal against the fragility of marble. It juxtaposes the solid and industrial with the classic and timeless. In contrast to the destructive and divisive power of war cannons, it emphasizes the unifying power of music. This dichotomy allows music to transcend boundaries and symbolizes the ability to harmoniously blend different elements into a cohesive whole.

Emre Aksu is a contemporary Turkish sculptor whose work reexamines themes of ontology and mythology, blending them with contemporary sociology. He completed his undergraduate studies in Sculpture Art, where he held his first group exhibition in 2014. Emre draws inspiration from art history and historical traces, exploring the concept of human existence across different geographies and reinterpreting it through a modern sociological lens.

His sculptures utilize diverse materials, including marble, metal, aluminum, wire, wood, and styrofoam, and range from realistic to abstract forms. Emre skillfully balances form and content by playing with the hardness or lightness of the materials he uses.

Throughout his career, Emre has worked as an assistant with master sculptors and participated in significant exhibitions, such as Prof. Rahmi Atalay's "Water Myths" and Mehmet Aksoy's "Özgecan Aslan Monument" and "X Pose" marble projects. In 2017, he pursued a master's degree in Sculpture Fine Arts, focusing his thesis on the relationship between art and politics.

Emre continued his production in Istanbul while also working in the film industry for nine years in various roles, including art director, set designer, and stage painter. In 2023, he relocated to Brussels, where he continues his sculptural work and participates in exhibitions across Europe, expanding his presence on international platforms.
