At ArtMajeur, we love offering creative and personalized experiences to our s. With this in mind, we're launching YourPortrait, a new feature of our artificial intelligence (AI) app, Iris. This time, it's a fun artistic personality test that draws on your preferences for iconic works to offer you targeted analyses and recommendations.

What is YourPortrait? 4r3s19

For those who wish to know themselves better through art 1r94

YourPortrait works like a personality test for art lovers and enthusiasts. By choosing your favorite creations step by step from works from art history, you receive:

  • A summary of your “artistic profile” in three distinct sections.

  • Factual and cultural commentary, without aesthetic judgment.

  • Ideas for reading, visiting or viewing related to your artistic inclinations.

  • Suggestions from other historical artists close to your sensibilities.

The goal: to stimulate curiosity, spark discussion and help you better understand the trends, techniques or themes that speak to you most.

YourPortrait is accessible to everyone from the Iris badge at the bottom right of your screen.

Then simply click on YourPortrait from the Iris interface.

How does it work? 451v5f

1. Two modes to choose from: “First steps” or “Initiate” 23mg

As soon as you access YourPortrait (from the Iris badge at the bottom right, in the side menu or the main interface), you choose between two approaches:

  • “First Steps” mode : a guided tour, ideal if you want to discover works without too much effort.

  • “Initiated” Mode : A more in-depth path to directly compare your favorite artists and explore your specific references.

In both cases, there are a few key stages along your journey.

2. “First Steps” Mode 5m102j

  1. First selection of works
You see two historical works side by side, and you simply have to indicate which one appeals to you the most. Immediately, Iris gives you a brief factual commentary: historical context, technique, possible controversies, etc.

  1. Repeated choice to refine your “mapping”
You repeat the same exercise several times. Each choice feeds into Iris's analysis, which gradually gathers clues about your tastes.

  2. Revealing your “artistic persona”
Once you've saved your preferences, Iris reveals a three-part profile. You'll then get a glimpse of your aesthetic sensibility and suggestions for books, music, exhibitions, or trips that align with your inclinations. All of this is accompanied by a quote that reflects the spirit of your journey.

  1. Recommendations for works and thematic research
Iris generates a list of recommendations for works available on ArtMajeur related to your persona, and useful semantic searches if you wish to search for images or works on keywords evoking your stylistic affinities (examples of symbols, scenes, etc.).

3. “Initiate” mode 724i3o

  1. First selection of works
As in the “First Steps” mode, Iris offers you a choice to make twice between two works from the history of art.

  1. Selection of two favorite artists
You begin by naming two important figures in art history that are important to you (painting, sculpture, photography, etc.). The AI then compares these artists, highlighting their similarities or differences, while remaining neutral in its approach.

  1. New series of selection of works
Iris can offer you some additional historical works, to refine her conclusions and explore certain dimensions of your sensitivity.

  2. One last personal question
If you mention a particular work or artistic trend (for example, a movement or a series of works), Iris describes its lesser-known features—technical aspects, critical reception, creative anecdotes, etc.

  1. Final synthesis
    You finally receive:

    • A portrait in three sections, reflecting what emerges from your choices and your reference artists.

    • A list of recommended works and semantic searches like in Getting Started mode

    • Recommendations from other artists, both famous and less renowned, to continue exploring art history.

Why use YourPortrait? 8291n

  • Getting to know yourself better : Your artistic preferences reveal an unsuspected side of your sensitivity, stimulating discussion and exploration.

  • Stimulate your curiosity : Discover the behind-the-scenes (controversies, techniques, inspirations) of major works, or lesser-known styles.

  • Expand your horizons : Suggestions for museums, events, or books invite you to explore this newly discovered affinity further.

  • Share your discoveries : Your final artistic profile can serve as a topic of conversation with your loved ones or on social media, to spark exciting exchanges.

With YourPortrait, Iris invites you on an intimate journey through the great history of art, comparing your choices, your references, and your imagination. Prepare to enrich your discussions and discover new aesthetic horizons. Happy exploring!
