Anastasia Magdalena is a contemporary Russian artist. Participant of more than 20 exhibitions in Russia and abroad, as well as a laureate of the 2019 exhibition - VII International Exhibition and Competition of Contemporary Art "Belarusian Art Week" and VII International Exhibition and Competition of Contemporary Art "ART WEEK IN INDIA" Russian Cultural Center in New Delhi.

My work focuses on abstract color compositions. Vivid colors, surface structures and textures of the environment, cities and nature inspire me to create new abstract, abstract-realistic compositions. My paintings are part of this world or a play of imagination, or both at the same time. One thing I can say for sure is that every line in my painting and every color is imbued with the energy of the present moment. I try to take the viewer on a fascinating journey of discovery across the entire surface of the painting, so that he can feel the color, lines, textures. One part of me is always in the embrace of dreams and the search for meaning, ideals, symbols, origins, knowledge, and the other is always in constant management movement, as if I were my own producer.

One of my latest urban series is an appeal for attentiveness to life, to the surrounding reality. My mission is to show the simple, removing the unnecessary, to draw attention to what people usually ignore and lose sight of.

“City Series” is a large series of works that I have been creating in recent years. It reflects the great value of modern society and the current era.
All the shots, seemingly simple and inconspicuous, are transformed, as if they were ed through the “Beauty” filter. In my case, my eyes are responsible for this filter, which show people that very elusive beauty that they do not notice or do not consider as such. I transform a corner of the World, just as every person transforms himself. I am the filter that can show the best side of the most ordinary. The emphasis is on minimalism, color schemes and choice of composition. This is an elusive movement of life that leaves its mark not only on temples, museums and popular objects, but also on ordinary shabby brick walls, inconspicuous houses, pipes, doors, windows.Time has sped up too much, you need to do everything. Minimalism, harmony of color and lines in paintings is a small part of our life that we manage to live.
