The Guggenheim Museum stated it did not authorize Beyoncé's promotional use of its facade for her new album "Act 2: Cowboy Carter," contradicting images circulating online. Despite the confusion, Beyoncé’s latest work continues to generate buzz, as she explores blending different musical genres against the backdrop of past industry challenges.

Beyoncé shared a story on her Instagram revealing the geographic details pointing to the Guggenheim Museum in New York. The internet was quickly flooded with images showing the exterior of the museum adorned with a projection promoting Beyoncé's music collection, "Act 2: Cowboy Carter." The exhibit also included a notable line from the artist's recent release: "Don't expect a country genre, expect a 'Beyoncé' genre."

However, the Guggenheim Institution released a statement clarifying that it was unaware of and did not approve of Beyoncé's use of its venue for her promotional efforts. According to a statement provided to Variety by Guggenheim officials, “the screening was neither consulted nor approved by us. » Nevertheless, they issued an open invitation to the public, including Beyoncé and her fans, to come to the museum from May 16 to 20 to view the works of Jenny Holzer projected on the museum to honor its important exhibition.

The incident sparked mixed reactions among fans; some visited the museum and shared photos of an unadorned exterior, casting doubt on the existence of any projection. Conversely, a few argued that the projection appeared briefly, while others suspected that the circulating images had been digitally doctored. Adding to the confusion, Guggenheim recently gave a nod to Beyoncé on his Instagram with an image titled "This ain't Texas," echoing the lyrics of Beyoncé's latest hit "Texas Hold 'Em," sparking more of speculation.
