What made you decide to become an artist? What is your path?
I have always been an art lover, but the need to express my emotions pushed me to try, to get started, to paint, to show my emotions, my feelings.
What are the 3 aspects that differentiate you from other artists?
I love the language of hot and cold, of light and dark colors, I think I invented my own language to say and express my art, today abstract and geometric, but not too abstract and not too geometric. I think I am both original and unique, I do not imitate anyone, but I also subscribe to the classical language and the evolution of artistic thought.
Where does your inspiration come from?
From my existence, from the need to struggle in this often gray existence, but without ever wanting to surrender to the banal reality of situations which kill the soul, the feeling, I always seek a higher meaning in things, in becoming. I fight so that life has meaning, in practice I aim for eternity, that is to say that death can never overcome the generosity of love.
Tell us about the design of your works. Do you have a long preparatory work or is it spontaneous?
The approach is instinctive, but the elaboration is slow, I think and rethink my works, I often correct the colors and attenuate the contrasts between them.
What do you want to show through your work?
Life itself, or rather the joy of existence, that of children who play, for example, without ulterior motive.
Do you use unusual techniques or materials in your work?
No, my paintings are in acrylic or oil on canvas.
Do you have a preferred format? Why ?
I'm aiming for at least 50cm x 50cm, but I would also like to paint large paintings 200cm x 100cm, but I can't do that at the moment for organizational reasons.
What difficulties do you encounter in your work?
Often for organizational reasons, i.e. I have a place to work, in peace, but it is far from my home and I often cannot get there.
How do you work? At home, in a shared studio or in private?
I also work from home or on a renovated farm away from my home in the mountains.
Does your work as an artist require you to travel a lot?
Not much, apart from a few exhibitions in which I sometimes take part in Milan or Venice.
What is the best time of your career?
Being able to amaze, with my work, many people who do not know me, but who only see my work.
How do you see yourself in your work ten years from now?
Due to my age, I also hope that I can work as hard as I do now and more, perhaps with a little more recognition, all over the world.
What are you currently working on? Do you plan to exhibit your works in the near future?
I continue to paint my canvases, always in the abstract with various shapes and colors, and my current goal is to show my paintings more and more on the Internet.
If you could create a famous work in the history of art, what would it be?
I would have liked to paint a Picasso masterpiece.
If you could invite a famous artist (dead or alive) to dinner, who would it be?
Caravaggio.
