Gai Yu, born in 1962, is a digital artist and photographer whose work reflects a deep ion for visual design and artistic creativity. A graduate of Shandong University of Arts and Design in China, he first made a name for himself in the field of graphic design before expanding his horizons to oil painting, photography and digital art. Currently Assistant Arts Design Specialist, he continues to explore and innovate in these disciplines.

His career has been punctuated by numerous prestigious international exhibitions. In 2015, he participated in the International Art Exhibition in Milan, Italy. He was also present in 2008 at the Osijek Gallery in Croatia and at the International Photography Festival in Knokke-Heist in Belgium. His participation in major events does not stop there: in 2009, he was invited to the International Video Exhibition in Berlin and to the National Design Source Net in India. In 2018, he exhibited at the 10th NO International Photography Exhibition in China.

Gai Yu has also made his mark at recent festivals, such as the Return International Art Festival in Weimar in 2021, and the International Photography Circuit of Artists Forum in Kolkata in 2022. He continues to expand his international footprint with notable participations in art circuits such as the Medusa Circuit, the Narmada Circuit, and the Nepal Photo Festival in 2024.

Through his work, Gai Yu seeks to fuse tradition and innovation, combining classic graphic design techniques with the new possibilities offered by digital art and photography. His ability to capture and interpret visual beauty in a multitude of artistic forms makes him a key player in the world of contemporary art.
