A guy messaged me saying that the latest pieces in this series are strange and that my real problem is that I use AI to create my art, accusing me of stealing others' artwork.
Let's talk about what stealing really means. Stealing is when someone enters your home, punches you, and takes something precious from you. That's stealing. Using a new technology to explore and enhance your previous art, even if it's based on other people's work, is not stealing. I know that many AI art pieces use elements from other artists without their consent, and people have issues with it. But why doesn't anyone protest against companies like Google and social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook? These companies in California let thousands of pieces of art, music, and creations of all kinds through their services and social without checking for copyright and without compensating the creators or the museums that house them. Yet, nobody complains. Why is that? Why is there no uproar against DJs and electronic music? DJs play other people's music at parties or rearrange it with their own ideas, and isn't electronic music often built upon samples from other music? Can you see what I'm getting at? Do you understand it? If using AI to mix other people's art is considered stealing, then why is it okay for DJs to do something similar with music?
You know what I think after carefully analyzing those who hate AI art? I often notice that the loudest critics of AI art are individuals who produce poor-quality, uninspired copies of famous cartoons, anime, or paintings. Let me be frank: AI doesn't use images created by you, but rather by famous artists like Picasso or Van Gogh. Your art is so bad that it's never considered a suitable starting point for creating good AI-generated pieces. So, don't worry, nobody is stealing your art because, frankly, your art is terrible!
One more thing: My art is partly AI-generated, but the majority of it is handcrafted using software like Photoshop, Krita, and other tools that allow me to paint and create collages. For this series, for example, only 40% of each piece is created with AI, while the remaining 60% is done entirely by me.
