Cette toile fait partie d'un projet plus large inspiré par la sculpture Vénus couchée de Lorenzo Bartolini. En réinterprétant cette œuvre sous différents angles, je cherche à explorer et à dévoiler des aspects subtils de la sculpture qui, bien que déjà empreints de beauté, recèlent une autre dimension de sensibilité. Mon objectif est de capturer la douceur de la lumière qui caresse les formes fragiles du corps, tout en mettant en avant la délicatesse et la poésie des gestes figés dans la pierre. À travers ce travail de réinterprétation, je cherche à faire ressortir une connexion émotionnelle profonde entre l’œuvre et le spectateur, en invitant ce dernier à ressentir la beauté et la vulnérabilité de ce corps sculpté, mais aussi la chaleur humaine qui en émane.

En réinventant cette sculpture sous forme picturale, je m’éloigne volontairement de la rigidité du marbre pour privilégier une approche plus intime et fluide. Je mets en lumière les courbes et les ombres, cherchant à rendre tangible cette fragilité et cette douceur que l'on peut percevoir dans l'instant figé de la sculpture. Chaque peinture devient alors une invitation à redécouvrir ce corps de manière plus personnelle et sensorielle, loin de la froideur de la pierre et des conventions historiques. Ce projet, en dialogue avec la sculpture de Bartolini, crée un pont entre la tradition classique et une approche plus contemporaine, plus intime, tout en laissant place à l’émotion pure.
