DESCRIPCIÓN
Pueblo mediterráneo, Cataluña representa una vista serena de un enclave pesquero catalán, con casas tradicionales de tejados rojizos agrupadas en torno a una pequeña bahía. Las barcas reposan junto a la orilla y el conjunto emana una atmósfera luminosa y tranquila. Vilà Cañellas emplea una pincelada suelta y cargada de materia, en tonos malvas, tierras y azules, capturando los reflejos del agua y la calidez de la arquitectura.

La composición, equilibrada y directa, pone el acento en la luz mediterránea y en la armonía entre el entorno natural y el espacio humano, con ecos de la tradición impresionista catalana.

SOBRE EL AUTOR
José María Vilà Cañellas fue un pintor catalán nacido en Vic y formado en varias escuelas de arte de Barcelona y Olot. Desde joven destacó en concursos y exposiciones por su dominio del paisaje, el color y la atmósfera. Su obra es un testimonio lírico de la vida mediterránea.
