July 4th, 2022 - 1a is an abstraction of a small part of a re-worked image from 1977, the new versions of July 4, 1990, which I am working on at present as a continuation of the original work from 1990. There are several versions of the main image of the new work (July 4th, 2022 -1), limited to 3 prints for each version. In the first of these, 1a, I have rendered the fireworks in purple and shades of blue and turquoise.

NOTE - I am offering this version in 2 additional sizes -- 24” H x 19” W at $1000. AND. 72” H x 57” W at $10,000. - If you want either of these sizes, use the "Make an Offer" option at $1000 (for 24 x 19 size) or $10,000 (for 72 x 57 size) which I will accept. THE NUMBER OF PRINTS FOR ALL SIZES COMBINED IS 3 TOTAL; no matter which size prints happen to be purchased first, only 3 prints TOTAL FOR ALL SZES COMBINED will be made.

Please note - due to Covid-19 limitations still affecting me, delivery will take about 3 to 4 weeks depending on destination country

Ken Lerner is a ionate photographic artist, born into a family of renowned photographers. He began taking photos at the age of 6, using a camera given to him by his father. But he was not interested in simply reproducing real life moments. His vision was more subjective and he sought to project an internal reality of that moment.

At the beginning of his career, he almost exclusively created images with multiple exposures. This gave a complex structure to the images and represented a subjective view of the world. In the 2010s, after working in financial product sales, he returned to photography producing only single exposure images. Even though they were less structurally complex, they still represented a subjective view of the world, being almost totally abstract. Ken works extensively with reflective surfaces such as water, glass and metal.

A lover of the beauty of nature, Ken Lerner paints and photographs a lot of landscapes and seascapes. He is interested in presenting different possibilities of representing "nature" and often produces many variations of an image with different colors, shades, contrasts and saturations.
