Les courbes enchevêtrées d’une rose l’empêchent d’être cueillie, elle ne semble pas exister. C’est une rose hybride, une sorte de biomécanique mi-machine, mi-végétale ; une image peinte mais de synthèse, une espèce de modélisation. Les veines des pétales de rose créent des réseaux de circulations presque en connexion avec les circuits informatiques. Le fond sombre pourrait rappeler le é à la manière d’une vanité, mais il est présent pour créer du vivant, ou du moins, une potentialité d’existence… C’est une fleur artificielle d’atelier, rien qu’une machine picturale. Ce schéma de câblage grandeur nature, ces nœuds du réseau de peinture (cercles, points condensés ou points de propulsion) conduisent le regard jusqu’à atteindre le hors-cadre.

Enfant, j’adorais la matière de la peinture : les paysages et les portraits s’engluaient gaiement. Je ressentais presque la chaleur intense, tortueuse des champs de Vincent Van Gogh dont je possédais la carte postale.

Mais comment parler de peinture ? Peut-être est-ce une sorte de dessaisissement, une expérience de nuances et de formes, qui se lient, se délient… parfois sous le faisceau phosphorescent d’une lumière. On ne sait où ? Au cœur du pictural ou entre des stries au stylo-bille, une forme prend vie ; mais elle est déjà ailleurs…
Les spectateurs choisissent leurs trajectoires, font naître des modes d’apparaître, ils nous entraînent dans le mouvement…
