I was born on December 30, 1966 in Nouvion-en-Thiérache, Aisne/In Picardy

I am a self-taught painter. I started to draw from a very young age and then during my youth I pursued many meetings with painters who made me discover the world of painting and they taught me the properties of oil, acrylic and color on canvas. At the same time, I worked at Les Compagnons de La Vallée de L'Hérault in Marble and Cold Stone Companies for several years, as well as as a stage lighting designer as an Intermittent du Spectacle.

My artistic work now includes 550 oil and acrylic paintings on canvas, 1000 drawings and 15 works of sculpture. I feel art as a way to express myself freely, emotionally and spiritually.

You can see my paintings and drawings on my Channel You Tube FRANCK MOREAU.

My work is based on the harmony of colors by creating reliefs with my painting knife seeking to express my imaginary world according to my emotions in an instant. My paintings of oil or acrylic paintings on canvas, through my emotions and my sensory perception, highlight the light and the power of colors by sculpting the canvas. I choose the colors that correspond to my state of mind that I feel in the moment.

I am strongly influenced by the use of bright and vibrant colors of Van Gogh and inspired by the work of Vassily Kandinsky who focuses on the expression of individual emotion, the freedom of plastic language while trying to give the form a spiritual and emotional content.

Art is a means of expressing myself and through my works I free myself from my emotions buried in me by creating and I transcribe my emotions and my imagination on my canvases and the images created reveal certain aspects of my inner world, since art is connected to experience.
