In the world's museums exhibitions devoted to the theme of flowers in art were staged. I was impressed and started searching my archives for once drawn Medinilla and found a series of three drawings made in mixed technique. I drew the flowers at home from Medinilla plants bought at the Depo (at that time I didn't have my studio yet). A year later the drawings were finalized in Palangos Dailė workshops. In the beginning it was planned that the drawings would become the basis for wallpaper design, but they remained as light botanical sketches.
These drawings can be a great gift for botanical lovers.
This is a one-of-a-kind drawing made by me in tempera, gouache and colored pencils on high quality paper (260 gm. Cotton, durable, Neutral pH, acid-free, lignin-free). The drawing was fixed with professional spray varnish for gouache drawings for preservation. The image is signed by hand on the front side. Not framed.

Gouache

The substances are diluted with water and rendered pasty and opaque by the addition of gum and honey. The colors become opaque and can, therefore, be superimposed, which makes one paint with gouache as with oil. The gouache is recommended by its bright, fresh and delicate tones.

Tempera

Paint based on an emulsion, greasy or lean with a pigment. Traditionally it is a painting using egg yolk, a natural emulsion, or whole egg as a medium to bind pigments.

Technic Drawing

Drawing is a technique of visual representation on a flat . The term "drawing" designates both the action of drawing, the resulting graphic work, and the shape of any object. It is also a representation on a surface of the shape (and possibly the light and shadow values) of an object or figure, rather than their color. There are a large number of drawing techniques: “Linear drawing” represents objects by their outlines, edges and some characteristic lines; beyond this limit, the drawing develops by representing the volume by shadows, often by means of hatching, incorporates colors, and s, without clear transition, the painting.
