Hilbre Island, in the Dee Estuary, Wirral, has some interesting rock formations. Accessible at low tide it is a pleasant walk (sometimes!) and offers the opportunity for creative image making. This is a section of colourful rock at the foot of one its higher cliffs. This Limited Edition artwork is produced as a high quality Giclee print on stretched deep edge matte canvas. The use of canvas gives the picture a distinctive appearance and a noticeable painterly quality. The artwork will be signed on the front and signed and numbered on the reverse and supplied with a signed and dated certificate of authenticity.
This artwork is based on an original photograph I captured using film in a large format plate camera. The photograph was used as my raw material which, through several stages of careful adjustment, gradually evolved into an enhanced version of the original image.
I pride myself on producing original works of distinction which attract attention and invite emotional response when exhibited. I strive for perfection which I hope will be noticeable when viewing my work. I also hope it will be apparent to you why my pictures are often mistaken for paintings, particularly when printed on canvas.
This artwork can be printed in different sizes. To discuss the options please message me. Canvas prints are made to order and can take up to five working days to produce.
