Landscapes that I'm not even trying to make readable, but trying to convey the chaos that is our world. Nature is said to be a harmony, but if that's the case, then man is upsetting the balance in the equation.
Squalls, windstorms and mountain rivers. The wilderness of immense freedom is not tranquillity, it's survival. Humanity has created a comfort zone for itself - at any moment we can warm up, cool down, protect ourselves, ignore the world.
We are soothed by birdsong and don't pay attention to the fact that it's a scream. We are soft-bodied, without shells, claws and fangs, but we occupy more and more territory and nature does not look and is not as safe as imagination draws, it is not our home, we hide from it behind fences and walls.

Valentin is an emerging artist born in Moscow in 1998. He grew up in various countries, including Turkey and Kyrgyzstan, which brings cultural diversity to his creative practice. His approach to art is conceptual and interdisciplinary, addressing the viewer from a personal perspective. After returning to Kyrgyzstan in 2022, Valentin began work on House 41, a landmark project in his artistic career. The project helped him make sense of his experience of displacement and new identity, existing as an outsider in a world oppressed by the Soviet Union, the remnants of which he grew up in. Valentin has a background in photography, and his works reflect his personal experiences and explore philosophical themes such as memory, temporality and death. He currently lives and works in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.
